Katie at St. Therese's Camp July 2016

Every child should have a camp experience. Katie had her first camp experience this week and loved it. Grandma Colette volunteered for two weeks as nurse for the camp. This past week Katie went to camp with Nurse "Rose" (Grandma Colette). She was so busy that it was hard to get pictures of her.

People always sense Katie's loving heart and sweet soul. Consequently, everyone is always nice to Katie.

First Year Katie Kept Growing

Katie's First Year Continued

Katie was so cute. She was like a drunken sailor when she started to walk. It was hard work folks.

Mommy made my first birthday cake and in fall 2011 I went to the State Fair. Daddy took this picture of me.

Mommy feeds me my first solid food. I did pretty well. I still enjoy eating mac and cheese.

Katie's First Year

Katherine Butterfly was born on her maternal grandfather's birthday. He was born February 26, 1944, and Katie was born February 26, 2011. She was born at Mat Su Regional Hospital, Palmer, Alaska.

This is the cake from my baby shower. Grandma had fun planning the shower at her house.

Katie saw the light with Mom and Dad.

Katie's mother is Eileen Casey and her father is Christian Frederick. They are presently not living together. Eileen resides in New Jersey and Fred resides in Sitka, Alaska. Eileen is a school teacher and Fred is a former fisherman.

Katherine Marie was named after her maternal great grandmother Marion Katherine Kier. Katie was baptized at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church by Father Jaimie assisted by deacon Harry Moore. Her god parents are her maternal grand parents Harland John and Colette Jane. She wore the white baptismal gown worn by her mother and her siblings as well as her maternal grandmother. She has been an active member of St. Michael's since her birth.

Katie was pretty cute.

Katie's story has grown rapidly as she becomes a beautiful and intelligent young lady. Her family has been amazed by Katie's growth and fun loving disposition.
